Appointments are located at The Behavior Clinic in Olmsted Falls. Horses, birds and some multiple pet homes can benefit from in home appointments - our customer care team will assist you in deciding what is best for your circumstances and species. In home appointments incur an additional travel fee and are scheduled on specific dates.

3. Develop a Plan

After reviewing your pet's history form, observing and examining your pet, our veterinary behaviorist will make medical and behavioral recommendations based on your pet's diagnoses. We will provide you with multiple handouts and a detailed summary sheet of the full treatment plan.

Note: The Behavior Clinic's treatment plans may include supplements, prescription medication, additional medical evaluations, lab testing and behavioral therapy.  An estimate will be provided as these items are an additional cost.  Successful outcomes require ongoing monitoring and adjustments to the treatment plan. We do not prescribe punishment (i.e., shock collars, prong collars, correction based training) to modify behavior.

4. Follow Your Pet’s Progress

Every consultation includes 12 months of follow-up phone and email care with a veterinary behavior technician. We encourage you to email or fax us a log of your pet’s behavior every 2 weeks so we can make adjustments to the treatment plan as needed.

We will also follow your pet’s progress by performing Progress Evaluation appointments with Dr. Feltes every 1-6 months until your pet shows stability, with annual or biannual evaluations thereafter. The cost of a Progress Evaluation is  $225/hr.

Medications, supplements, products and even treats are available through our pharmacy.  Our clients also enjoy access to an Auto-Refill program where your pet's medication is mailed to your door every 3 months!

Our clients also find it helpful to schedule Behavior Therapy Appointments with the veterinary behavior technician to assist in implementing the plan.  Some clients meet with a technician every 3-4 weeks throughout the first 6 months of treatment. Cost for a Behavior Therapy Appointment is $125/hr.  These appointments can be scheduled in your home (additional travel fee applies).
